This webinar will focus on how you can utilise your church's existing resources to bring Gospel renewal. Topics covered include: Developing a vision for church buildings and land usage. Policies around building usage. Managing and protecting your assets (ensuring they are fit for purpose, building maintenance and provision, building and contents insurance). This webinar will focus on how you can develop your church’s assets to enable Gospel renewal. It will cover topics such as: Strategic assessment of your current site to enable the vision. Embarking on a building development program. Design/planning approvals/zoning/expertise/funding. Investing in income generating initiatives. This webinar is presented by Wayne Schache.
Session 4: Conducting effective ministry development reviews
This webinar will focus on how you can conduct an effective ministry development review. It will provide you with a very practical process that is being developed specifically for the church ministry context. This webinar is presented by Rick Pierce.
Presenters

Simon Greening. Before heading off to law school Simon was a pastor and worked for various Christian organisations in different leadership roles. Simon was a partner at a mid-tier firm before opening a new legal practice – Watermark Employment Law, in April 2020. Simon and his team act for churches and Christian organisations across Aotearoa.
Jan De Lange serves as Executive Pastor at Rangiora Baptist Church for the last 7 years, stays in Pegasus and is married to Debi. Jan also leads a new church plant in the Woodend region. He also serves on the board of 3 trusts in Northern Canterbury. They have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. They are originally from South Africa and now Citizens of this beautiful country of Aotearoa New Zealand, which they call home. Jan has been on the boards of many international companies in the UK, Germany, Russia and South Africa. He owned several businesses for over 20 years before being called by the Lord into full-time ministry.
Wayne Schache is the new Operations and Finance Director for the Baptist Union of New Zealand, commencing in November 2021. His role is to work alongside the National Leader in supporting development and the implementation of vision, strategy, and leadership in the areas of finance, property, and legal matters. Wayne has 30 years' experience in finance, and commercial and general management. His roles within the professional, private (including a publicly listed company) and public sectors have involved development and support of strategic change within the organisations. Wayne is married to Janine, and they live in West Auckland, along with their three adult children—Kiralee, Braedon and Cameron.
Rick Pierce is the Northern Baptist Associations Network Pastor, Health & Development. Rick had a ten-year career as a Chartered Accountant prior to completing his Diploma of Pastoral Leadership and Bachelor of Applied Theology at Carey Baptist College in 2004 to 2006. After a four-month role as Interim Pastor at Milford Baptist he was called back to his home church, Windsor Park Baptist as Pastor, Young Adults in June 2007. After four years, he shifted to a newly created role, Pastor Spiritual Formation. He served in that role for nine years until he finished his Pastoral call at Windsor Park in September 2020 to take up his current role with the NBA as Network Pastor, Health and Development.
