FOCUS on Inner Healing with Phil Halstead (Small Group Resource)

Although much is changing in the world and church today, some things remain the same. Life is difficult, we get hurt, and we also hurt others. As a result, we suffer all kinds of emotional, psychological, spiritual, and relational wounds. These wounds can be difficult to heal and cause further damage if projected onto others. Yet, all is not lost. Based on the fact that Jesus understands, redeems, and heals, several inner healing models have been created. This webinar introduces the concept and processes of inner healing and in so doing aims to motivate and empower persons of faith to experience and practice inner healing in their own contexts.

Dr Phil Halstead lectures in Applied Theology at Carey Baptist College,  with a focus on pastoral care, pastoral counselling, inner healing, and integrative theology. He also heads up the pastoral care department at St Augustine’s, Auckland. He received his PhD in Theology from the University of Auckland in 2009 and his research focused on designing and running a series of forgiveness courses that helped adults to explore their relationships with their parents. He has published widely in the areas of forgiveness, pastoral care and counselling, and mental health. View Phil's academic profile here...
