FOCUS on Gospel Transformation with George Wieland (Small Group Resource)
2 x 20-25min webinar recordings with study guide
Description
When you hear the term “evangelism” you might picture bold public proclamation or perhaps stopping strangers in the street in the hope that they will stay long enough to listen to a quick summary of the gospel. Both of those activities have been used by God to bring people to faith, but effective witness to Jesus in our neighbourhoods and networks is often not so much a one-off presentation of what we believe as a long-term demonstration of its reality in our lives. In his letter to Titus, Paul highlights the distinctiveness of the message that answers the hopes, aspirations and longings of a troubled society, and shows how transforming grace can be lived out by women and men, young and old, citizens and slaves, in their homes, workplaces and public spaces. In this webinar recording we shall draw from that mission letter encouragement to delight in the good news, learn what it speaks to in our communities, and let grace take effect and be seen in our everyday lives and contexts.
